Default Help Buying a Carrier

My carrier is shot and I need to replace it with a stock unit. I found one to buy, but I wanted to make sure it's the right one. I have a 4 channel, 3 series rear. The one I'm looking at is:

Series 3 carrier
10 bolt 7.5/7.625
28 spline axles
Eaton Gov-lock Factory GM POSI

It came from a Blazer. Will this be an ok replacement for the stocker? I don't plan to break my rear end again, as I went from turbo to NA. The 60 MPH extended burnouts and hard launches under boost got to the stock 10 bolt after a while.

Thank you for your help.

I would not sell a G80 Gov-lok to my worst enemy. Those things are JUNK!! If you like working on the differential and spending more money I guess you could run it. It will fit but it would be like burning money. Why?

Thank you for your help. What should I be looking for to replace the stock differential, Zexel torsen?

Are the differentials different types in the 98-02 F-Bodies (other than 2 or 3 series and 3 or 4 channel)?
