3.90?

I have a 02 Camaro SS SLP#5878 and it has the stock 3.42's. I was looking around and 4.10 is to hard on your rear end and 3.73 is pretty good but I think 3.90's will be perfect. Besides I dont do hard launches on my car when ever I race is either from a roll.Has anyone have 3.90's on their car?Let me know how you like them.

I have 3.90's in my car and they are PERFECT for a stock 10 bolt rear. The pinion is bigger than a 4.10 pinion and it will cut down on breakage a lot. I destroyed 3 sets of 4.10 gears before I went to 3.90's and since installing them, I have not broken anything. I also didn't lose ANY time in the 1/4 mile.

how much fuel do you think you would save between 3.42s and 3.90s and between 3.42s and 3.73s and then finally between the 3.73s and 3.90s. Im just stuck on either 3.73 or 3.90.

u wont notice much in mpg....goin from 3.42s to 4.11s i feel like it really didnt change, b/c i use 6th now and under normal driving i shift 1 3 6 to save gas....it seems to work for me

i drive an A4 and i installed 3.90s in my car. i reccomend 3.90s to everyone now, to hell with 3.73s. and i went from 3.23s to 3.90s.

What kind of flywheel do you have?I bought a billet steel and it seems much better. Also when you put 3.90's do you just buy the install kit or do you buy something else?
