Ok I know that jre has a bad wrap on here and after reading some of the conversation I see why. However I'm looking into building my rear diff and want to know if the posi mod is any good? I'll have my trans guy build the diff so I'm for sure it's done right. Who's all done it because a 9in for what I'm doing would be pointless for now. Specs of the car will be 650 rwhp (maybe a bit more) with procharger through a 4l80.

I did it back in 2010 and ran it for a short time before I blew out the stock stuff and moved to a 9". Others may disagree, but I feel it's just more of a band aid. I personally would at a minimum invest in the truetrac if it were me.
What is your intended use for the car? 50/50 street/strip?

We are working on a kit that uses a ZL1 diff, DSS axles and driveshaft for close to the same price as the GM ZL1 kit, and quite a bit cheaper than a 9", and that would hold your 650HP all day. But to your original question, I've heard mixed reviews of the posi mod, I'd do a TruTrac, it's what I run.
