Of course fully loaded it will be more, but a base version should be around that price.
Adding a blower??!?! What? They will more than likely have to completely beef up the WHOLE drivetrain of the car.

Go look up the LSA and tell me they just "added a blower" to a LS engine.

Itll be around the GT500 plus a few thousand.

Can you go into detail more for me?

Also what rear end are they gonna use? I don't feel like swapping rears on my brand new Z28

there's a fully loaded 2ss/rs at a local dealership for $44,9xx(much rather have a vette for a few grand more). I expect the z28 to be more around $49-$50K base, $56K-$57k fully loaded. dealers anymore are getting every car with every single option they can possibly get. In 98-02 they didn't charge for t-tops(which is much better looking imo), yet they charge around $1000 now for a sun roof that isn't as nice or fun as t-tops imo.

T-Tops were most certainly a pay option. Dont know who told you they werent.

Also, its not the dealers charging for the sunroof. Comes down from GM.

I would hope the Z28 would come in under 50k. But doesnt it seem strange that they are reversing the order of Camaros, the SS was always the top model.

If they planned on bringing out a top model the current SS should be the Z28 and the supercharged top dog should be the SS.

sticker 45K
most stealers wont sell em for less that 15K markup. and thats only because people with that kind of money wont realize that if they all refused to pay the robbery of a markup, markups wouldnt exsist

I would think the easiest thing to do is use whatever drivetrain (engine/transmission) the CTS-V is currently using...just use a different engine cover.

Thats the propblem with GM and others. They price the car to high to begin with. Go out and pay 50k for one and wait 6 months and try to trade it in or sell it. We bought a new 08 Crystel red LS3 Vette loaded - MSRP was 60k we traded for a new 09 ZO6 and got 35k trade. That was shopping it around the country. The car had about 3k miles and was less than 1 year old.
If they could sell them for what there worth you could afford to buy a new one every 3 years or so.
You can buy a Roush mustang for 39k. I say the new Z is worth 42k max!! Then in 2 years you can sell it for 18k

This is why I don't buy new cars. The rate of depreciation is disgusting. I buy 2 or 3 year old cars, and let someone else take the hit.

My wife learned this lesson the hard way with her 06 F150 (new at the time). The skyrocketing gas prices (at the time) only compounded the problem.

The thing I find ironic about this statement is that obviously folks like you are the reason they can do this. You said you got ripped off by buying a new C6, then turned around and bought a new Z06. Obviously it wasn't a painful lesson the first time.
