Yep, looks like ****. But isn't that what the guy was aiming for? Kudos for trying something different, I guess. But new styling and trying for "rat rod" looks just doesn't work obviously. Rat rods need to be old styling IMO.

I appreciate the idea, and the "paint removal" looks to be well done & the patina looks good, but it looks outta place on the new car for sure. I agree that he probably has a bunch of $$ and cant build something cool.
I woulda just sprayed it in primer grey, and blacked out the lights, that way it would look nonchalant...
Flat black woulda also been cooler

If he wanted that setup, he shoulda figured out an old clunker body to go on the new Camaro chassis that woulda been cooler

I'm usually down for whatever, but this doesn't work for me. However, it's cool to look at the pictures and imagine them looking like this in a few decades. One day they'll sit under trees behind houses and be scattered about the wrecking yards looking just like that.

no this proves no matter what, you cant make fifth gens look good no matter how hard you try. lol I hate rods and i hate that he s got a better motor than my junkyard 6.0 turbo setup. I would honestly feel way better about this if it were a base model with a sixer

I saw the car in person at last years Hot Rod Power Tour. Driver of the car was arrogant to say the least. Was beating the ever living hell out of it to boot. I cant even explain how disgusted most people were with his driving and personality.
