Sorry to hear it. Hope you're happy with that Vette.... can't say I've liked any of the 3,452 Vette's I've owned. The 2008 was the worst IMO.

Not a bad idea waiting a bit before you add a supercharger. If you have warranty concerns it's a great idea...... as an aside.... speaking of warranty concerns... my wife thinks I'm nuts. Hell, I think I'm nuts. I've been planning this for awhile though so it's full steam ahead. More parts to come.....

Default Camaro takes on Nurburgring

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=260Fm...feature=relmfu

I scrolled over this and for as fat as this ZL1 is, it really does well on the track. After I watched the video and saw it ran a 7:41, I went and pulled the list of other cars that ran under the 8 minute mark and became even more impressed of the company that surrounds this car. I agree it needs to lose some weight, but the amount of technological advances that is incorporated into it really puts things into perspective and makes you lose sense of how much it weighs. Unfortunately I have yet to drive one, but I'd have to imagine this car, among other 5th gens would have to be a blast.

I wonder how it compares to the new CTS-V... in real life, not on paper. And not the interior. I'm sure Cadillac wins in every aspect when it comes to interiors vs (probably) any Camaro.

Something to think about...

I agree it's a heavy car, but I think the era of lightweight cars is over.
its only over for cheap cars. I think exotics will continue to get lighter. the Mclaren MP4 and Pagani Huayra are under 3000lbs...

I don't think adding 420hp will be as easy as you think. It definitely won't be cheap either.

Certainly not cheap, but the car itself isn't cheap either. I was thinking along the lines of swapping the blower for twin turbos.

Sounds like a difficult swap to me. The entire powertrain is going to need beefing up to handle 1000hp too. Certainly not an easy task.

It won't be cheap, but it would be a fraction of the price of buying a Veyron.

Too funny. It was a joke Einstein. If you read the entire thread or, if that's too much for you, just the post that I quoted, you might get why I went there. Then again, maybe not.........

Not really.... just giving back ****. I guess I should have used a more believable number like say "27."

It's all good. I'm not married to this car. When I no longer have a need for a back seat I'll buy a Vette. Until, then I'll get my 4100 pound Camaro Convertible running 10s. Should be pretty cool.

Remove the rear seats, seat belts, spare tire and jack, light weight wheels and it'll weigh less than 4000 lbs or right at.
