I love it!!! its an amazing car, very solid, handles like its on rails, stops great, power is great mid range and especially up top, shifts smooth as butter, only 2 things i dont like about the car is, 1. the clutch feels like it grabs high off the ground, def not used to that? are they all like this from the factory??? 2. the car is way too quiet for an SS lol, sounds like vacum cleaner lol, my freind has a 2011 RS with the 3.6 and its louder lol

Yes the clutch took a day or so to get used to, I think I even stalled mine going out of the dealer lot. You are going to want some mufflers or a catback to take care of the quiet sound. One of my first mods was magnaflows and then long tubes. She wasn't quiet anymore.

The car comes with Mobil 1 in the crankcase, I see no reason not to continue using it. It is good to make the first oil change early after it has been broken in. After that the oil life monitor is good to go on. There is a lot GM put into that monitor, not just engine run time. I have had no issues whatsoever on my car, but the warranty expires in July.

Yeah, my clutch pedal is a little high. I am so used to it now, don't even think about it. I am getting close to the power level where I may need a stronger clutch.

My IBM 12 came with Dexos in the crankcase. I've heard that it's just GM's version of mobile one but I've also heard it is a dino/synthetic mix. I couldn't get a straight answer on Camaro5 and then I discovered they were mostly a bunch of elitist ****** so I left there and came back here. I hadn't been here since I old my Firehawk. Sorry I'm rambling.

I completely agree with you, everytime I go on that site I get frustrated. I hate to say it but it seems like most 5th gen owners are arrogant tools. Obviuosly none of the ones on this site though. lol

Do you have a '12 V6 or has GM stoped putting Mobil 1 in the SS? The '10's and 11's came with Mobil 1 in the crankcase.

Every site has a good number of arrogant tools. I know quite a few here and to a point where I'd say Camaro5 is better place to be for regional talk. I think I hear more about how new 5.0's are the **** and how 5th gens suck on this site then I do of any reliable or informed info. Maybe not in this specific section since it's for guys that have 5th gens. But I often am left wonder why those guys are even on LS1Tech if they love 5.0's so much.
