Seems pretty bad *** to me for the weight, gm should have done something about that and there wouldn't be a 500 lbs penalty to the mustang. My g8 also weighs 4260 with me in it, thats still a lot more then it should be. I'd say the Livernois zl1 will be running 9.50's before its over.

11's with full bolt on's is damn near impossible unless you strip a whole lot of weight out of the car, alter the gearing and get a it on a 26" tall tire with skinnnies. That was originally my goal and that went to ****. There are cammed, stalled and full bolt-on SS' that can't get out of the 12's. The biggest problem with the ZL1 compared to the GT500 is the bottom end. How long can you turn up the wick on the LSA before the powdered rods and hyper eutectic pistons say enough is enough. That is not an issue with the GT500. I imagine they will get into the 9's with bolt-on's and a stock blower. You can't compare the '12 GT500 because the '13 is completely new motor.

The fact that the car weighs 4295 and runs 9s with 700rwhp makes it even more impressive in my book. The fact that it was done with a completely stock suspension makes it really impressive. I have seen plenty of cars that make the same power and way less that can't run those times.
