Default best bang for the buck intake manifold

I just recently purchased a 5th gen ss it is an l99 because I couldnt find a good clean ls3 that hadnt been ragged out in my price range but anyways the car is completely stock I just ordered pacesetter longtubes and a bbk 102mm throttle body I was looking that at the fast 102mm lsxr intake but I want to get a second opinion just to make that has a good hp to $$$$ ratio compared to what else is out there

Most reviews of people that have bought and installed them are not so good. The consensus is, that its not worth the money for the few extra HP. If you have done all the bolt-ons that you can do, and this is all that you have left to do because your trying to squeeze that last few HP out then do it. I believe its only worth about 15 to 20 WHP gain. I could be wrong about that. To answer your question better about $ to HP ratio. I think I would rather spend it in other places first and do this last after there was nothing left to do.

I am only speaking on what I have read and the research I did when I was thinking of changing my manifold. I have heard about some people porting the manifold (even using epoxy in some areas to further smooth the air flow). So far I have just read mixed comments, a few pro's and con's. But from what I have read, unless you plan on installing some turbos its not worth it. I could totally be wrong, but its whats stopped me so far from either porting or replacing the manifold. either way...to me...it just does not seem to be the wisest way to spend the money. If I was just going to stop at the bolt ons in my sig and not do a cam and SC then I guess I would look closer at it. But soon as I bolt on my SC I wont need the manifold then anyway.
