How easy is it to make an early 5th Gen drive like a 1LE?
Think I'm kind of getting interested in these 5th Gens now But a new 1LE is out of my budget
So I'd be looking at an early SS manual. But my question is, how easy is it to make these drive and feel like the 1LE?
Do the wheel bearings really make a difference? Or can I just add an aftermarket suspension kit (or even 1LE parts) and get something similar?
One thing, is the steering different on the 1LE compared to earlier SS's? If so, how much?
I accept changing the final drive ratio is possible but expensive. I'm more interested in steering feel and handling.

GM part #23102311 - Camaro T2 1LE Track Pack should do the trick.
Note: Installation of this kit on a 2010-2011 Camaro SS requires PN# 23484878
If not. I'm sure a company like BMR Suspension can get your Camaro handle as good if not better than a 1LE

Well all of the 1LE parts can be purchased from GM Performance parts or GM Accessories. Full suspension kit, 3.91 gears, front splitter. The hardest part to duplicate would probably be the electric steering. I know I can feel a difference between my old 2012 and my current 2010 SS. My old 2012 seemed to handle better due to the steering alone.
