Fast 102 LSXR
I purchased a used Fast 102 from a previous owner who was running a supercharger setup that he stated never hit higher than 6lbs of boost. I read that the fast can withstand up to 18lbs safely. After installing the intakr
km my car I noticed a loud sucking noise. I did a smoke test and noticed a small crack next to
the Map sensor port in front of the intake. I plugged up the small orifice with some gasket maker and redid a smoke test and there were no additional leaks. Should I have taken apart the intake halves and inspect the entire intake? I assumed it was fine since there were no more visible leaks from the smoke test. The intake is positioned in a car swap that requires me to drop the engine a few inches to completely remove the intake hence my reluctance to take off the intake which can potentially cause me more issues down the road. A penny wise a pound foolish. Any thoughts, as I have a dyno session in a less than 6 days?
