Of course it will be good. Clarkson actually managed to sound like a dumbass this time, and call the Camaro a VXR8, minus two doors. I understand he thinks British\European cars > most American cars, but it's sad when he just refuses to be wrong. The ACR Viper will kill an Aston Martin DBS. The Z06 outruns and outhandles a Porsche 911 GT3 for 1/3rd the price.

The Z06 outran just about everything on the list i think. It ran like a 1:22 at their test track, and the fastest time was 1:17 by the Koenigsegg a $500,000 car.

Clarkson can be funny! but even I think he's a complete Tosser! when he starts ripping into American cars or talks about something he has absolutely no clue about! that's why i don't go out of my way to watch it, unless they're showing something interesting or competition.
People here who love American cars & enthusiasts are still gonna by em no matter what bollock's comes out of his mouth!

How is it any different from Americans thinking that American cars are superior to everything? Not sure what you guys expect them to say. It's a British show they're not going to shower Americans with praise just like I don't see anyone here saying how great British things are. If they would have been talking about the Mustang rather than the Camaro everyone would be saying how awesome they are.

Top Gear is funny, who cares if he makes a few jokes about us...laugh about it (they are usually funny) and don't take everything so seriously.

There actually is going to be a Top Gear America, but it will probably suck as far as comedy is concerned when compared to the original. The only thing i think that will be better is that there will be more American cars.

they did a nice review of the C6 Z06 I thought....

I laugh at his "American" jokes..I think they can be funny sometimes....'the americans are only good at herding bison'...hahahaaa that is funny...cmon now. Of couse I did spend 4 years in England...most are friendly but some of the young kids/adults there really despise Americans....and this was back in 1992.

Isn't the Camaro a 2-door VXR8? Both are RWD, have an LS3 and are built on the zeta platform.

oh i have. i used to watch it all the time on BBC or something like that. and occasionally still catch a few episodes on youtube... just never cared for what they were saying against americans... thats why i watch Musclecar/powerblock on Spike now.

Which is exactly what it is. The Camaro was made by Holden who made out of the same car that's rebadged and sold in Britain as the VXR8 and our Pontiac G8.

He's also right, it's not going to be a refined car and Australia doesn't produce refined cars either. That's what he was talking about.

Unbunch your panties, the show and it's hosts make fun of everything and have a good time. That's the entire point of the show - nothing is sacred and the hosts tell us exactly how they feel about cars and have fun with it. It's what makes Top Gear brilliant.

All the uproar on this site over tongue-in-cheek comments is what really makes us look bad.

I laughed at it. Personally I love the humor on that show even when it is aimed at us. Hell the Aussies get it worse sometimes.

I just wish we had a similar show here in the states.

I like them. The did give the c6 zo6 a great review. I think one of them showed the massive power the zo6 had just using 5th from a stop on a runway. The two bad knocks were about the suspension and the gps/nav finds closest McDonalds. They hated the C5 plastic bumpers and how wide the car has become. Honestly, who in there right mind can't wait to get there hands on the zr1.

I've watched top gear alot and trust me they do lots of stupid things. They failed at camping with a 2.2l diesal car towing a camper which one of their local camping magazines said was perfect for towing(obviously wasn't). They did a show to figure out the best crossfire, 350z, or audi tt of which they hated things from each car. If I remember right they liked the looks but overall hated the mustang using the standard American cars can't handle European roads. My overall favorite show was road trip from Miami to New Orleans buy a car on a budget of a rental car.

I think we all know what will be complaints of the Camaro with people not just Top Gear. It's to fat, it looks horrifiing compared to the Corvette or the other American retros, what's with Americans and large rims, where's the ethanol, you can't even get 30 mpg out of a 3.6l, and finally they should have left it dead.
