Default Speed Inc. 2010 is in for the TVS2300

We just got the car in after lunch for cool down and tear down. We plan to be on the dyno tomorrow. The blower will be the only addition over stock at this time.

some pics

more pics and dyno results to come

It will be interesting to see what a EATON 2300 will do on a 100% stock Camaro through stock exhaust manifolds, cats, and cat-back.

Why aren't you doing 1 7/8 long tubes?
How many PSI will you be running?

Looking forward to dynos and track videos.

That's awesome.
I like your style.
Please keep us all informed. This is going to be great.

What stages and mods are you thinking about implementing?

Very cool. Any chance you guys would consider dropping the mufflers for a pull to see how restrictive they might be?

That's awesome.
Looking forward to it.

Do you guys really think catbacks are worth it?
I was under the impression that catbacke don't make much, if any, more power once you are running proper 1 7/8 headers.

Best bang for the buck is headers, connection pipes and removing the resonators. There are some minimal gains to be had with cat backs (if you've seen how many mufflers are under this thing, you'll understand) but most of the benefit is in front of the cat back. GM finally put out a decent f-body cat back, aftermarket is more for sound...and they DO sound badass. Hard to f--- up true duals.

I do not feel they are worth much these days. We are just looking at the most for the customer walking in the door. I have had so many just want catbacks and no plans to do further mods.

I was hoping you would do the catback last then.
I think that would prove my theory that you can get all the sound and performance you need from headers alone.

Thanks man.

I gotta tell ya. It's nice to be having a positive conversation with someone on here for a change.; especially a vendor.
I feel like every time I've logged on the last few weeks I'm stepping back into the boxing ring.

Larry, I have the shiny version of that blower sitting in my garage. Probably start installing it next week, going out of town this week.

427C5, LMR did a cam/headers/offroad setup on a 2010 with the stock catback. It actually sounded better than a few others they made with aftermarket catbacks. The aftermarket ones were too loud for me without cats, but maybe thats because I'm getting old. lol

cool Tony

I think the old comment about the exhaust fits us. I was all about loud before, but now like a mellow sounding terror.

We're ALL getting old Tony.
At this stage, I'd rather have the most performance with the least "bark".

It's funny, a few years ago we had to completely rebuild a car to achieve the same performance level that anyone can just walk into a dealership and buy today.
With stock engines becoming so efficient, and tuning becoming so high tech and easily accessible, I'm at the point where I believe the best bet is just adding a blower, fuel, and headers to stock cars and just ENJOY them.

I know you wanted more low RPM grunt after putting a centri on your Viper.
Maybe the new 2300 on the LS3 will give you the power band we've both come to love.
We all know twin screws are more efficient and the better option than the 2300. But, until a company can provide a proven solution, the 2300 is it.

I hope Speed Inc can get do a Techco build soon so they can compare that system to the 2300. Vortech's twin screw looks promising as well.

I like the satin black look of the blower.

It give the car an "all bussiness" feel to it.
