Those guys over there are the laughing stock of the automobile forums. They are a joke. God forbid you say anything that goes against their opinion. That site is worthless anyway. Unless you are looking for which CAI to get. The fast ones hang out on Tech.

C5 captured the market of enthusiastic new owners back in 09 who wanted to spend money for the sake of spending money just to have different diffusers than the next guy with the same car. The same opportunities are there for the C7 market and the upcoming 6th gen Camaro. There's a much greater audience for people who buy the cars and waste money on transformers emblems and halo lights and want to discuss how cat backs will affect the warranty than there is people who know which end of the hammer to swing.
The site has over 87k users I think (active members besides the point), so it's done well for itself, but the aim of the site should be to improve itself and make it better, not enforce a bunch of protectionist bullshit when it comes to other sites and their links, and a revenue based agenda when it comes to protecting sponsors. If someone called me a shitty mechanic and I couldn't build cars, I would work my *** off to build an 8 second car off the trailer to prove everyone wrong, not run to mods every time a thread came up. But he obviously has a different business model [that's obviously working for him because the doors are still open].

I said the same thing to Detoxx when I first joined that forum. The few people that know what they are talking about are ignored because the morons are loud and flashy and distract the masses.

All I can say is WOW. I just posted in a thread "over there" just to keep track of something. Sure enough, a bunch of comments were deleted and it wasn't really anything negative.
I like the forum over there but didn't know they were editing posts as much as they were. I have no skin in the Janetty fight one way or the other. Interesting to hear all the opinions though.

And your post was totally uncalled for. We were defenseless to post anything back. C5 is a big site. If you didn't like our shenanigans you didn't have to read it not say "good riddance" . If a song comes on the radio that you don't like what do you do? Change the station.
In my threads you kept telling me to call gforce. My problems had nothing to do with DSS. It was pure incompetence on Jannetty's part. How the hell do you measure a ds wrong twice? How do you put axles on a car without torquing stubs. The axles were clearly marked "please torque before installation".
Yes we can be idiots. No denying that.
