Default Overboost Protection? Dropping Boost

Posting this up here in the Gen5 Section since it has more activity. My CTS-V is dropping boost on WOT pulls and I'm not sure wtf is going on. Pulley looks good doesn't look like slip.

I go WOT builds boost to about 14lbs for a few seconds then the car kills all the boost down to 0 and says service vehicle soon on the DIC. Any thoughts from the ZL1 crowd?

Is the boost gauge the one at bottom right ?

If the boost was dropping by that amount, the drop in performance would be like hitting a brick wall.

The audio in the clip and video of acceleration doesnt seem to suggest that is happening ?

Yup bottom right. Yeah it isn't loosing boost which I verified with my OBDII Gauge. I think its an overboost setting in the tune that has not been adjusted.

Anybody tell me signs of spark plugs going bad. Lately lots of hesitation on light throttle and I went to get on it and the power just wouldn't come on and just backfired a few times.

Just an update. Working through what I believe a this point to be a tune issue. I have the following codes that only appear under WOT. Wonder if anyone has any thoughts.

P1101 - Intake Air Flow System Performance

P012B - S/C Inlet Pressure Sensor Performance

P0121 - Throttle Position Performance

P0106 - Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Performance

You really need someone to look at it. It could be tune, it could be an actual problem.

Is the vehicle modified or standard ?

Modified. Upper pulley swap, intake, headers, exhaust, ported tb.

It was at cadillac today and the car had no codes what so ever in terms of a misfire or anything really wrong with the car. The car doesn't run bad it just pops up that thing on the DIC about servicing the vehicle only at WOT.

My guess its something in the tune where they need to adjust settings to account for more airflow and more boost. I'm still waiting on their response.

Are you using a NW102 or TPIS throttle body? If so both are crap and caused me many headaches and wasted hours of tuning.

I don't sadly. I think they use EFI Live anyway. Thanks though!
