REAL World Experience "SUPERCHARGER VS TURBO"
I have supercharged and twin turbo cars.
the twin turbo cars I have are a Bentley continental flying spur and a bmw 7 series.
the supercharged cars are a vortech gen 5 Camaro and a 671 blower prostreet car.
some things I have experienced:
supercharged cars have instant response.
turbo's do have disgusting lag.
I have driven my brother in law's stock buick that has a supercharger and it too had instant response.
since most of my driving is street driving I prefer the supercharged instant response over the turbo lag.
I find the turbo lag disgusting.
what are your thoughts?

I'm a turbo guy all the way. My current car has a rather small turbo (MHI 14B), and spools like a freight train and pulls cleanly to 8000RPM. The GTP I had was... Fun I guess, but it wasn't as fun as my current car. My Foxbody will be turbo as well. IMHO, a turbo is easier to manage power wise, they are more efficient (properly sized), and whoever says that they are hard to get right is an idiot. My brother in law had a 03 Cobra with a Kenne Bell 2.8H that made 750whp on E85, and don't get me wrong, it was extremely fun, but was too much too fast.

I have had several turbo Buick Grand Nationals and loved them all.
However on a street car the turbo lag can be a problem. Several times I almost had wrecks because the turbo lag would spool in at an inopportune time. Definitely took constant attention to avoid problems.
But as a matter of which is best is a chocolate or vanilla issue. Some like one others the other. Neither is right or wrong, it's a matter of what you prefer.
Go out have fun and be safe.
