So Ray I have a question for you. Don't take it the wrong way. Last couple times out the car was slow even with the shot. Is this the reason for the motor refresh?

If the shot it the same, and there is no time on that motor, I'd assume it got hurt thus the rebuild. Not really a refresh.

the last time out the car drove thru the converter. I took out my race converter that makes the car go 9.29 and put in a street converter. with the race converter I could not get over some of the mountains here without the trans temps getting too high, hence the street converter which slowed the car down.
when we fired the nitrous at the track, the car drove right thru the street converter.

the reason for the motor refresh is, and you might remember this, the excessive blowby the lingenfelter motor had. lingenfelter could not remedy the issue so I just had to live with it.
I wanted jannetty to build the motor to eliminate the embarrassing smoking out of the breathers. and since he's refreshing it, I could add shaft rockers (heads come off for machining), different compression pistons, add the piston oil squirter kit, new cam, more head porting, etc....

Why are you laughing? my car is still running 9's on the original stock motor.
I don't get on C5 that much, I checked in and it seems like all hell broke loose.Took a little while to figure out where everybody went.
Sounds like you have had more than your share of problems lately.

Yea theres definitely more there, last year all my spare time went to the new horse barn. Hopefully i'll find time this year to get back to the track. Also been thinking about putting the manual back in to play on the street.

Its about time he gave up on that maggie and got a real supercharger. Looking at his build, I've seen that setup somewhere....hmmm wonder where? ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
