And I was fortunate enough to jump into Mike's seat.....so-to-speak. Thanks for helping that work out Mike!

The prototypes are not assigned a DOT VIN number.

BTW, nice Camaros in your stable....
in addition to this one... the very "first" ZL1 belongs to Al Oppenheiser and was on display at C5 Fest in Houston. He drove it back to Detroit.

Can't wait to see you on the track July 12 Randy. Looks like we still have one spot open for the track rental if anyone wants to join us.

Correction:

The very "first" ZL1 does NOT belong to Mr. Oppenheiser. It is/was a factory Prototype often called a 'Engineering Exercise' by GM.

It is a CTF "Captured Test Fleet" car and yes it is the very first 5th Gen ZL1 with VIN 00001

I said nothing about production ZL1 in my statement.

You're just on a witch hunt now. The Camaro World didn't ask, but you can Google it.

Mr. Al is the proud owner of #1

So back to the performance, I see that Motor Trend did a head-2-head with the 2014 Z28 vs. the 2014 GTR Track Edition, and the Z28 bested the $116,000 GTR in handling for $40000 less! So, as much as I don't like $75,000 price tag of the Z28 I have new found respect for it's track performance.

Not on a witch hunt nor do I have to Google it which is for the uninformed such as yourself.

I own one-do you?

BTW, Mr. Oppenheiser prefers to be addressed as simply 'Al'. Ask me how I know.

Mkay, you own one and we're both friends with Al. I'm really impressed, but It doesn't change the fact that you're simply butthurt because you were corrected. Get over it and stop jacking the thread.
