Default Drag - Wheel/Tire Combo Questions

I will be purchasing a pair (2) of 18x9.5 (front) C6 Z06 wheels, as I know that they will fit on the rear of the Camaro. I have a few questions regarding the best possible setup I can run for drag racing. Any help or guidance is much appreciated.

I want to run a big slick, but realize that no companies (that I've seen) make a tire in an 18" size. So this leaves me with drag radials...Mickey Thompson makes an ET Street Radial II that comes in 305/45R18 and 305/35R18. Will I have any problem mounting either of these sizes on the C6 Z06 rims? Although I know the wheels will fit, will I have any trouble with tires rubbing with this setup? Will I run into any problems running a drastically smaller diameter setup thatn stock?

I'm just trying to get a couple of drag rims/tires on this car the least expensive way possible. Any advice is much appreciated. I know there are people on here who are much more experienced than I.

Thanks,
Jon

EDIT: MODS - If this is in the wrong forum, please move accordingly. This thread may be better suited in the Wheels/Tires Section, as other members may have similar questions. I've yet to see a solid drag setup on the new Camaro.

stock rear tires are 28.66" tall
305/35x18 = 26.4" tall, would change the 3.45 rear to 3.75
305/45x18 = 28.8" tall, would change the 3.45 rear to 3.43
305 tires r 30mm wider then stock, so 15mm inside and 15mm outside... but they would also be 1" further from the fender being 2" shorter...

I'm running the same wheels with Toyo 315-35-18 DR's, they look good, will have pics up tomorrow. Going to make some pre-tuned passes Wed night to play around. Already have 305-20 Nitto's on the stock wheels, they hook pretty good when you work the clutch.
