427 scoggin dickey crate motor results?
Ive been working on a 2010 Camaro that has a crate motor from SD in it. It is a 427 with ported heads and big cam. The owner cant tell me any more than that about it. Dont know if it is a ls7 block or what.
It is an auto car with a yank 3800 converter, well its a Yank and it seems to flash 3800.
Anyways I have no clue what the car should make considering the 1.15 4th gear and a loose converter.
It made 503hp on a dyno dynamics dyno.
How much power is being lost on average through a 6l80 vs a stick in these cars?

Is it an LS7 or LS3 headed car? I'd doubt it's an LS7 just because of the conversion from dry sump to wet sumo that has to be done. My guess is being from SDPC and a 427, that it's their 427 LS3 based motor. In that case, I doubt your far off. I understand the 6L80 robs some good power, and the stroker LS3, although not weak, is no cammed LS7.

My guess is its a 427 ls3 with the chevrolet performance c&c la3 heads. As far as camshaft, i have no idea. If anyone has a link to SD for something like this, id like to see it. He says its a "700hp motor" im thinking no.

We build them spec'd to customer needs and desires, so it could be set up lots of ways. It could be anywhere from 600hp to 700 depending on what that customer asked for. 620 to 640 is the norm for an ls3 427 with compression and cam choice being the biggest variants.
