Where have you been? Nothing you said makes sense.

This was up for discussion about a year ago.

The SS vs Z28 discussion has been kick around for the last year or so. I love the idea of the LS7 in the Z28 but I have been saying for months that the LSA will most likely go in the Z if it is made.

Wink Base LS3 SS

Take the best bang for the buck; an LS3 SS no addons for about $32k, cam it, long tubes, etc and it will be a potent ride. My 06 GTO with stock LS2 at 3750 lb still moves out and has great power under the curve so would imagine the new SS Camaro will rock. Not to mention lack of real wheel hop and TRACTION that this platform will deliver. Build it to what you want from the base engine - the premium paid for an LS7 will not be worth it.

True but the premuim paid for a Z28 will also bring a warranty. Buy a base SS and mod it and the warranty will be voided unfortunately. If you are not worried about the warrnaty then I say go for it.

LS7 and LS9 are hand-built engines, which makes them too expensive for any factory production Camaro.
