LS7 is a waste. Needs the LSA and it's superior low end torque to get the fatass camaro off the line.

LS7 weighs more. It's probably more like 3900lbs as a manual.

****. Why can't they makes a Jet engine powered Camaro. Oh wait, people would find something to complain about on that one too. "Oh, the wheels are too big."

I know of plenty fast 3800 lb cars. One just went 8's recently.

It has more than enough power to go 12's bone stock.

some people just love to complain and whine n ****.

Not sure what the cost of this package would be, lets say $10k... assuming you can do the swap yourself, pull the stock LS3 out and sell it for $4k at least, right? You're looking at a net cost of about $6k.... not bad.

thats a complete waste of money, why not take the 6k and mod the ls3 thats already in it??? you could get headers, full exhaust, heads, cam, intake, nitrous, rear gears and a tune for 6k and its made for the car..... you spend 6k to put in the ls7 but now its stock..... and i doubt you will be able to just drop it in the without running into some problems and having to work those problems out but even if it was just a easy throw in and bolt up situation it still wouldnt hang with a ls3 that has 6k of mods done to it.....

You would be very surprised how many people aren't after all-out power. We get plenty of customers who want an unmodded, straight from GM crate engine with a warranty.

Nice idea, but your numbers are a little off. Scoggin-Dickey sells a stock LS7 crate engine for $14,195.00 so if you could sell your LS3 for $4,000 it would still cost over $10,000 to do the swap and you would completely void your new car warranty. If GM builds the Z28 with either the LS7 or the LSA it will come with a full factory warranty. I don't care if it has an LS7 or an LSA as long as I can get it with the wheels from the SEMA car.
