Why is the SS no longer top of the line?

Since GM had kinda gone to turbo in thier smaller cars, i wish they would make an AWD malibu with a single turbo 6 cyl....or maybe even the 4 cyl but it has to have more than 260hp.....can you say, "mazdaspeed 6 killer"?
