He is right about one thing... No torque gauge. In testing there were an awful lot of near crashes, as people were watching it instead of where they were driving!!
It was replaced with a trans. temp gauge.

Well, aside from the children that can't reply with anything but "OMG pics", this thread was originally intended as a post to give my impression of a first ride.
I don't have pictures because I value the Dad's job, and any chance that he would get in trouble so I could take some stupid vanity picture is retarded, so take that as you will.
Xsta was correct on it being a test fleet vehicle, and as such, was black with the darker grey stripes going down the center of the car (all of them were this color that came into the desert proving grounds)
Also, dicks.

Apparently the manual trans cars get the temp gauge too. Car and driver tested a manual trans v-6 and it had the trans temp gauge. (The 4 gauge setup comes with the RS package)

How would taking a pic affect your dads job? Does he have the only one in that color combo? YOu dont have to reveal where/who you are in a photo. You dont even have to include a VIN. Even still, with it being driven around someones going to take a damned picture thats for sure. I dont see how it would get back to you let alone your dad so yea, i call BS unless you post some pics.

So the dude got to ride in a fifth gen and he can't post any pics, so he should not say anything? It's almost like your pissed because you didn't get to ride in it (or because he doesn't like men). Maybe he took pics with himself or his girlfriends family in the pics. Either way take the first and 27th posts for what you think they are worth, put the padlock back on the garage, and your wife's deodorant back on her bureau.
