What I am wondering, is how they will react to bolt-ons and a good tune. Decent numbers, but to be honest, I really expected more.

And thats the best indication of power. Dynos are for tuning and Supra owners

That shows about 15% drive train loss from the advertised motor figure.
I am not sure what I am missing, I don't see a problem here.

Not if the fu**n operator had it set up properly. Problem is that there are too many self proclaimed geinuses in the tunining/dyno industry that arent worth half a f**k. You know who their customers are on track day though. "But i thought ya put down big numbers??HA!"

Also im sure anyone who had managed to get their hands on a new SS this early is prolly reputable. And ive seen em around here for a while so im sure thats really what they put down.

if motor trend and Edmunds BOTH get a 13.0 at 110 and 111mph and both are just spinning the hell out of the tires at the launch then these cars can run pretty dang good.
heck the auto came in at 13.1@107

with its exhaust being so quite and the intake being fairly restrictive. i bet a fair amount of hp will be gained from a change in both.

Anyone seen stock LS3 Vette numbers from Livernois? Just curious what they typically put down on their dyno for comparison.

The last LS3 Vette I recall on the dyno made around 380 RWHP.

We have been told in the past that our Dyno Jet is somewhat conservative, but we have it calibrated at least twice a year. For reference, a stock LS7 Z06 and stock Shelby GT-500 makes 440 RWHP, a stock LS2 manual trans vette makes about 340 RWHP.

+1. All I could hear on the video is the dyno. Couldn't even hear the car. The 5th gen should respond well to a well-designed intake/exhaust.

On the GXP, intake tune and catback was 410whp on this same dyno Adding longtubes to that should put it at 440ish whp. Those same mods on a ls1 are like 350-360whp, correct?

Are you serious? These motors with just bolt ons, headers and a tune will put down h/c ls1 numbers?

that is awesome

^^^ Not necessarily true. From what i've seen it's a drivers race but the longer it goes the further the Z06's will pull. I've heard that cam only LS3's making 470 or so. Imagine with bolt on's and cam. You'd be looking at 500+ rwhp

I can't believe some of you guys are doggin 365 RWHP! As someone has already said- thats just under 15% drivetrain loss from the advertised rating. Since when did 365 REAR WHEEL HP become something to scoff about on a STOCK car with probably less than 50 miles on it?
