Default GM deserves a standing ovation...

...I just saw my first PRODUCTION car in person this afternoon (seen plenty of concepts and tweaked production cars at shows) and this thing is everything a car should be.

I saw a Red V6 in Burbank with the RS package and they had a 1969 next to it... The 1969 looked like the cute girl next door while this looked like (name your supermodel with large breasts here).

How in the hell they got that car signed off as is I will never know but GOD, IT IS AMAZING.

The grille, the fenders, that car is perfection. It made the Vettes in the lot look like busted up strippers.

I want it Thank you GM and the Camaro team, THANK YOU

Seriously, everyone behind this deserves our deepest thanks... I don't care about the bail outs and all that garbage, someone fought for us, the enthusiasts and we WON

Pictures just do not do it justice, AT ALL. In the pics it looks ok, still rather have the 69.

In person, you'd consider selling a ******** for it! Wait, is that just me? Don't judge me!!!

yup gm will make a couple of 1000 of them and then close their doors for bankruptcy. If you can grab this one it will be worth a lot of money in 10 years for sure due to low volume.

bankruptcy does not mean closing their doors.

I am well aware of that. Sometimes they are allowed to operate during bankruptcy sometimes not and you 100% don't know that factor. You are speculating just like I am.

It DOES means changing their business model. What they make. How they make it. How many plants. What debts they have to honor.

They don't always get to have everything their way after bankruptcy. Unless, you just bent my post into how you wanted to see it. (it was sarcasm)

There is a chance that items that don't turn a huge project AKA sports cars will get **** canned.

No but it does mean a lot of other companies following them into it, and there is the possibility of them not even qualifying for the standard ch 11 option and moving directly into sold territory. Which means they will belong to China unless someone with Donald Trump's/Bill Gate's amount of money wants to step in.

Edit: Sorry for the doom and gloom, GM has been making great strides on all of its vehicles for the last 6 years, and now they have some class leading vehicles, the Camaro being one of them. It really depresses me that in the not so distant future, there's a whole generation coming up that may never know the joy of a true muscle car.

I even sat and stared at this thing for half an hour thinking what I would do to it and to be honest, I'd keep it pretty stock!

I LOVE the grille, I taller cowl would be cool, I love the bumper (I am NOT a fan of their body kits and stuff for it), etc...

I would probably hit the chrome trim (tail lights) in like a satin black, have a slightly taller spoiler and MAYBE some stripes. Wheels aren't bad but I'd want a deep dish.

Interior looked FANTASTIC and I used to not be a fan (mainly didn't like the instrument cluster).

I REALLY hope they make a crap load of these as well but, if not, what a swan song!!!

Design t-tops for it!

I wonder what that would look like... that or a targa.

Would look really weird with either t-tops or a targa....the roof top is to long..would be odd? But who knows........SOMEONE out there is bound to do it more then likely.

Yeah looking at it some more, the little window behind the door is what throws it off. 3rd and 4th gens only had the door window so it all flowed with t-tops but that little window behind the door window would make t-tops bizarre looking.

Im only 20yrs old and I absolutely hate a lot of new cars that are coming out, but THIS will now be my next car.

If I had one I would completely black that **** out.. > I like the stock wheels so I would powdercoat them, and black the tails out.

Im sure I wont be the first one though

Definitely don't think it should have been a hatch, never really like the fact that any "muscle car" had a hatch (though I use the crap out of mine hauling parts).

The windows just seem extremely different compared to F-Bodies. It is very similar to my wife's GTO...
