Factory superchager I was in BigSandy, TX to day I was one in the bank parking lot a yellow ss camaro I went over and talked to the owner and he said he got it 2 weeks ago it was #2*** any way he had a set of chrome and black 21" wheel on it that he got from the GM and a new engine cover that color matched the car. Then we started talking about the options on the car and he tells me that when he ordered the car GM was offering a factory Supercharger that would put the hp @ 540 to the crank. It was not on the car today but he was telling me that it is on his build sheet and that when he asked them about it they called GM and they will honor it becaues he paid $1,000 when he placed the order. He also told me he paid in the high 30's and that they would be putting the charger on for fee.

Yes and no, they have brought up the concept of releasing a Z28 model with the LSA motor. It isn't optional with the SS, just a LS3 out of the box and that's it. GM isn't even thinking about releasing it anytime soon even if they do because of the crap that is going on with them right now. They do have the concept though, but the guy is full of ****.
maybe it was the dealer? could have been the dealer who promised him a charger.
They sometimes do their own thing with wheels, decals, etc, and either the dealer is misleading him on where it's coming from, or the guy's not bright enough to follow along.
Base SS starts at 31k- say 6 or 7 g's for the charger (incl. installation), and that'd be in the high 30's the guy said he paid.
