i just got back from the LA AUTO show and they had just recieved a new car over the weekend, and they werent able to display until today!!! they were 3 days late on the arrival but it arrived on the day i went!!! they told that the it is just a concept for right now, and that when it does come out, it will have the LS2 motor, with fuel managment system, but the guy who was talking about the car was an idiot, he couldnt answer any of my quetions, such as, will there be a ls7 model, a z28 model and a SS, the current curb weight, he just knew that it was a concept and he was reading off a piece of paper, but in reality knew nothing......i dunno what to think of the car, what do you guys thing????

I think it looks really mean, but I wonder what they will change to go from the concept to the actual production model. Too bad the guy you talked to didn't know any specs on the car. Did he even give an estimate on the price?

i really like the car, and hope to be able to trade in my camaro for it when it comes out, but i hope the performance of it wont be like the GTO. i understand that they are going to be on the same chassis, and we all know that the GTO has the ls2 and 400 hp. but wieghs so much and only does 0-60 in at best 5.0 secs. pretty respectable numbers, but still the new mustange can do that with just 300 horses. i know that it might cut into some vette numbers, but im hopeing for 0-60 in the 4.8, 4.7 range.

If they don't make this after Ford has come out with the mustang looking the way it does and strong possibility that the Challenger will have a great styled retro look GM would be completely stupid if they did not make this car. Let’s just hope they don’t shoot themselves in the foot again and price the dam thing too high like they did with the GTO and later F-bodies.

Concept cars always seem "hard".
The companies seem to "soften" them up before production.

i think the current gen's look 300x better than that piece of poo, it has potential with the rear and all but def. not diggin the front end / hood design. the retro thing is cool for about 3 years or so, then wtf do you do discontinue it again? not diggin the DOD crap either, oh well though who am i but one little voice in the crowd......

I Dont Like The Idea Of Having The Ls2 In This Vehicle, By 2009 It Would Be A 6 Year Old Motor, And At 400 Hp, Wouldnt Be That Much Impressive!! I Say Drop The Ls7 In There! And Make A Real Threat To Fords Cobra, Dodges 425+ Hp Challenger Srt, And Dodges Charger. There Probably Going To Have A Whole New Motor For The Camaro, Since The Gto Is Being Redesigned For 2008 Im Sure There Gogin To Have A New Motor Besides The Ls2, If Not, Im Not Sure If I Would Even Buy The Car. It Has 22 Inch Rims!!! And Looks Heavy Has Hell!!! Can You Say 14 Sec Car??? Theyre Moving Backwards Instead Of Forward!! Im Looking For A Camaro Stock To Break Into The 12's By 2009!!!!

The "cab" is too small, and it's too sleek of an angle. The windows look too small. The front part of the roof needs to be brought forward or "up right" to increase the angle. I also think the back wheels are too big,but it is a concept. All else looks good.

fopefully the ls2 is pushing more than 400 hp by 2009....just like the ls1, when it came out, was pushing at max 345hp in the c5, and by 2002, the z06 ls1 had 405hp!! hopefully that happens to the ls2 as well and has at least 450+hp!!!!! then we're talkin!!!!! and the SS to have at least 475hp!!!
