Hum. A 5.3 wouldn't be a bad thing as a optional motor. What if they Put a really good valvetrain in it with some forged parts ie rods and they spin it to 7500rpm, with about 360hp. Or what if the destroked the 5.3 to a 5.0 ala 302 dz. there are so many option that they could do. will it have LS2? Yes it would be dumb not to. Lets not forget they could make a base, RS, Z28,SS . How about a 1LE option again.

No doubt in my mind that the Camaro will have a V8 with 400 hp...whatever LSX derivation it is then.
For somebody to say there aren't many cars with 400+ HP means that they're not paying much attention.....Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Dodge/Chrysler SRT8s and SRT10s, Corvette, Caddys and the list goes on and on.
I would not be surprised to see the LS7 or a derivitive in the Camaro at some point as well...it has to be able to battle the Ford Mustang GT500.

I think the top Camaro motor will be a 450+hp 6.2L, but that's just my guess.
