The mod thread for the 2009 Camaro

If you think about the foundation GM is giving us to work with the potential is well ina word AWSOME...
So, lets look at it for a second. Lets say GM give you a 4.8 or even a 5.3L base model. While it may not be the most desirable motor, it has good basics. Also, all the fundamentals for installing a bigger motor are there.
So, lets focus more on the 6.0L. For some reason this is where I tend to see GM focusing on. I don't have anything other than my own opinions and observations to make that statement. But going along those lines. Lets look at a "bolt on" Camaro.
If it uses the Ls2 intake, you can pick up 10-20 HP with a FAST intake swap. Obviously headers should be a gain.
If the rear is based on the current CTS-V look to one of the spiffy MADMAN rear end converions.
No, depending on how the L92 program turns out. Might we see an L92 car with heads flowing 330 from the factoy? That'd turn some heads (and some tires).
So, Lets go back a step. Depending on how the L92 works with the current 6.0L motor these may yet turn out to be a bolt on. Even should that not be the case. A medium cam, and a set of AFR heads on a 6.0L 2009 Camaro (provide the car isn't a pig) should put you out there with many of the "more radical" H/C packages on the current Ls1 cars.
So, since we have nothing better to do till the car gets here. Start listing out the mods for your new car.
Mine:
Appearance:
Black on Black
Windows Tinted 20%
Fikse FM-5 or a BBS RX
Lowered (just to get the right stance)
Motor mods:
4.8 or 5.3 - swap motors

6.0 - H/C+FAST90 (AFR 225s, & Custom cam)
6.2 - Cam only
Drivetrain:
Clutch - Textralia Exo-skell
Rear - Whatever it takes to keep it together...
Ok, so who is next....
You know what excites me the most? Being able to get a tire wider than 275 without major surgury and parts.

some type of bullitt mags on it, please from the factory GM!!!
LS7, PLEASE!!! Or I will just wait until it is offered.
Headers and intake...and of course loud mufflers.
I think a small and cheap V8 option would really be in concordance with GM's original camaro history. Any joe bag of doughnuts was capable of buying a cheap V8 camaro and modding the crap out of it. I think GM should offer an I4, V6, 4.8, 5.3. 6.0, and 7.0. I think an I4 with 150 HP and a price of 15k would sell like crazy...giving GM a real boost while making our big V8's really cheap
