Default '09 special editions/options/engine options
Does anyone have any real clue as to the engine choices? Special edition cars, etc, etc?

I heard a guy mention in another thread..."if they don't offer a non-optioned stripped down 427, I won't be getting one"............

any opinion is appreciated

We won't know details like that for sure probably for another year.

There are rumors and specualtion running rampid all over the internet, but nothing is known for fact as of yet.

Here's one reason I mention it.........back in '94, I was 20 years old and looking at buying a brand new Trans Am........I inquired at the dealer that I thought it was the 25th year of the Trans Am, and asked if there was going to be any special edition car, etc, etc.........the salesmen said, "no, we haven't heard anything"...........so, I go ahead and order the car.........one month later I see the damn 25th Anniversary car in Hot Rod magazine! Dammit I was pissed off! I just don't want to miss out on something special.............who knows, maybe all of the 'insiders' will snap up all the 'special' ones........

There has been talk of 2 V6s (3.6 and 3.9) and one V8 (LS3) for the first year with a supercharged V8 (LS8 or LS9) available for the second year.
