Whose been saving?
I see the camaro doing the same for Chevy. Now, I don't feel like spending my hard earned money on a car that I think will be all over the place.
I'm saving up for a used C6 instead.

If this F*#$%&G thing weights one OUNCE over 3,500lbs I'll be pissed! If I wanted a near two ton vehicle I'd just get a TB SS....[/QUOTE]
4th gens weigh very closr to 3,500 and they do fine...people complain about weight too much these days.

Driving a beater now and saving hoping to land a 2009-2010 Camaro/GTO depending on the engine/drivetrain/looks, etc...
I plan on getting the most optioned out camaro they make with the biggest engine. I don't want a limited production camaro like a ZL1 though. Car and driver is speculating a $35K sticker for a fully optioned car.
I am gonna keep my escort and DD it until it explodes, and drive the new camaro whenever I feel like it.

theres still almost 2 yrs. before it arrives.
wow dude...some plan as me exactly...... my 99 Z28 is just about paid off..... I figure I am going to keep the mileage low (currently @58,000 miles) pay the car off in about a year and a half... save some money....just got a HUGE job promotion to sweeten the deal... and get some GM points going on my GM card.. I even got the nod from my wife... I will not buy one however until the 2nd year......just look at what they did with the GTO the 2nd year...
CAN'T WAIT for this car!!
I really want a Black one..but at the same time.... really want a silver one...
I can imagine myself driving in a fully loaded 500hp Z.
Will see how it goes, but no, I don't think I'll get rid of my Camaro.
I think people don't complain about weight enough. The benefits of less weight are tremendous. Better acceleration, less wear on brakes and tires, better braking, better fuel economy, etc. ad nauseum.
I stick by what I say they NEED to start losing weight not adding it.
