Exclamation Whose been saving?

I sold my Trans Am when they released the concept in 2006. I have been saving since then, and driving a lame as car, while waiting for the production car.

I intend on having a paid off Camaro to enjoy.

I'm not saving myself but I'm kind of wondering, as of now not everything is set in stone, alot of things are but not to be rude what makes you ready to slap down for one?

I'm I just not passionate enough?

Best of luck to all who are getting one right off the line.

Lets just say I should have enough to mod it the next day I get it. So, long as they don't throw a curve ball with the engine. I have been driving the same vehicle for 7 1/2 years and no payments for 3 years. Before my current vehicle I had a 87 turbo coupe t-bird and a 87 chevy silverado blazer til the new s10 I got in 1999. I was saving for a vette but want the camaro. I want to mod it like a 67 my uncle had and thank god save some photos that I can use on the 09 camaro.

well, heres my deal.

i like the powertrain.. while its not set in stone, GM powertrain has yet to disappoint me the last decade... i like where things are going, and im confident in them.

i want a new car. Something nice, a convertible, with power, and comfort...

i like how it looks...

i'll be getting the second year of it, when the verts come out...
this means, worse case, it sucks, and i will have saved several thousand dollars over the last couple years, and end up getting a diffrent car... or a house, or something.
but the goal right now looks very attainable. ive done things like this before, where i save over time... when i was a pre-teen, it was for a dirtbike that i finally got when i was 15.. after that it was for my first camaro.. after that my first streetbike... then a few years ago i saved for a year and drove a tercel to speed up my LS1->3rdgen vert swap.
so i have confidence in my ability to save for something i really want.. now when i get there, if it sucks, oh well... the pain of driving an S10 (or whatever) for however long, disappears quickly into the past....
besides, if i really dont like it, i can get a couple year old 07 C6..

Ah ok, I just am not brave enough to go on a whim like that no matter how strong it looks.

Best of luck, i'm getting a house now so I can't even afford headers let alone a new camaro lol!

Hope it works for you.

I'm getting both the house and the car. And if the car is over-priced or anything else i don't like, I'll just get an IROC-Z and slap and LS2 turbo in it.

Looking forward to my GMMG 2010 Convertible

I've gotta finish my truck off, about 3K to go, but that'll be done with at least by the end of this year, leaving me plenty of time to save up money to add to what I sell the truck for as a nice, JUICY down payment, prolly somewhere in the $9000 range. Then it's Camaro time!

I am

I am currently driving a 2001 Grand Cherokee that I do not like driving. I am saving money and clearing up all of my debt. Part of the reason for this is to purchase a new Camaro IF they are what I want them to be.

If this F*#$%&G thing weights one OUNCE over 3,500lbs I'll be pissed! If I wanted a near two ton vehicle I'd just get a TB SS....

I'm saving up now for one. Probably a midlevel V8 (if they offer one). I can't wait until GM offers some hard facts on production options and pricing, though...

My Ranger should be good for $4000 or so difference in what I'll owe then and what it's worth, maybe a little more, plus whatever cash I'll have by then. Plus my stepdad said he'll help me out some, as a gift for getting into UCF (which will happen about that time too... damn community college lol).

If I like the Camaro when it comes out I'll probably sell my Cobra and pay cash for it (my Cobra is paid off) Although, I might wait for the 2nd production year, I dont know.
