i just saw transformers lastnight...great movie, the 5th gen looked sick, not sure where ill be in my life when it comes out. but i know ill at least test drive one for damn sure
i def dont wanna get rid of my ss, and havin 2 cars at once will be tuff for me

You can bet your last bippy the top of the line SS will be $40,000.00 stripped. At that price they may sell a couple thousand in 10-12 months . Forty grand ? No thanks. Course by then a new stripper Vette will be $55 grand.

I would pay $30-$35 thousand for a 400hp 5th gen. If they even make it. I personaly think they will. I just hope it doesn't 1 take 2 years to come out and 2 be the sae motor in the Z28 with a freakin super charger or somethin. I don't see them makin a ZL1.
You know we are going to get raped for the first 6 months to a year with the dealers marking these cars up by who knows how many thousands of dollars 
. As long as I get mine by the summer of 09 and not get slaughtered by the price I can live with it.

Well if you are already on the waiting list don't u have an idea of what the price will be. (Ball Park Figure) What kind of info are they giving u. I really want an SS. If I buy a Z and the SS comes out I'm gonna be pissed.

The best info I've been able to come up with is a 1st qtr. '09 release with dealers taking
orders late spring-early summer '08. Considering some of our inside sources here, this seems

I don't know how legit this guy really is, because he says the Z/28 will be supercharged, and I thought GM wasn't into that anymore. Everything else seems pretty reasonable though.
And as for the competitive pricing toward the Mustang, it really depends on what you call competitive. GM hasn't had prices very close to the Rustang in a while. And for good reason. Found On Road Dead got that nickname for a reason....

This just in , and from the horse's mouth.
The new Camaro 6 cylinder stripper models WILL hit the showroom floors in January of 2009 .
The V8 models will come out in July of 2009. Convertibles in September , & the SS models in November of 2009.

like he was talking with the GM CEO today during an excutive board meeting about the Camaro. Absolutly no refference at all to where he read this on the Internet, or to whose brother's friend's dad works at a dealership and said this. In case you didn't know, rumors and speculation about the new Camaro are rampant.

Thats just my .02 but i know i most likely wont own one for awhile bc im only 19 Y/O right now and making only 26k/year just wont cut it

So, here is what I would like for you guy to do. Send your ideas to GM on how to cut 36K out of the 2008 Z06 so we can call it a Camaro. The Z06 has the LS-3, weight is around 3200#, and the interior isn't bad. The sticker is 76K
