The Z06 has an LS7. The base Vette has the LS3. If the Camaro costs over 40k it’s getting way too close to the price of a base model Vette.

The base 07 Corvette with LS-2 engine is 53K including freight. It doesn't take much to bump that 10K to build a nice car. Anyone buying an LS-2 Corvette, Z06, or SS isn't going find, or want a stripped down units. So in my eyes a Z06 is 76K an LS2 Corvette is 65K. So 25K minimum looks to be the new amount we need to cut from the 2009 Camaro to make it fit our pocket books. And for poops and giggles why not thrown in the LS-3 for under 40K?

I think that’s for the convertible. The coupe starts around 44k.
