You heard it here first
This mean 500hp Mustang, 425hp Challenger will not be a problem.
before the race all he could talk about was 500 horse this & 500 horse that
my car is a full bolt on car, cammed & 456 geared.

Also, C6's are no joke. The 6.0 C6 is just a little slower than the C5 Z06 and the C5 Z is still a bad *** car.
Best part of it all is this is just the beginning. As long as the Feds don't impede too much we'll see some serious power in the next few years.
the 3.6 DOHC motor is their main v6 right now. it has replaced the 3.9L and in many applications the 3.5L. i would expect the 3.6L as the v6, and 1...maybe 2 v8 motors. that 6.0L engine that is talked about here is the one with variable displacement, which has great gas mileage. i can see them using that to bring the mpg up so to allow for a more poerful v8 in a super camaro.

Another thing, if making cars have fewer options is so smart than why do most cars that get the "option cutting" end up being the last? Options=sales. The truck market should tell you that...
1) Base - 3.6 DOHC DI V6 ~250-275 hp
2) Entry V8 - 5.3 LH7 with AFM - ~330 hp
3) Top Line V8 - LS3 with ~435hp (At least in the first model year, maybe a SCd version later)
With its lighter weight, better gearing/trans the LS3 Camaro should beat the SRT8 Challenger especially if the Challenger comes with the 6.1 425HP motor instead of the 6.4 505hp motor.
That is just my gut feeling, it'll be interesting to see what happens

6.0L 362 HP engine will be just ONE of the THREE v8 options.
There will be ONE high performance v6 option. Not exactly sure of the size of the engine yet, however its a pretty good guess that it is the same 3.6L 261 HP engine in the G8.
I REPEAT, THE NEW CAMARO IS BASICALLY THE G8!
Believe me or not...don't really care. When it comes out, I will be posting this thread as proof

Have a nice day.
And you heard it here FIRST that you're wrong.......
..........and just atwixt us....what would you like on those words when they're served up?????
..........and just atwixt us....what would you like on those words when they're served up?????
If you go by post count, sure I do not seem very credible, but I already addressed this. I don't care.
And subsequently, all you naysayers, what proof do you have that I am wrong? Not that it's proof im right, but what makes you so sure that you are?
Tell me otherwise instead of acting incredulous.
EDIT: If the mods could please re-lock this, I would greatly appreciate it. I knew this would generate posts, but I originally intended something to show "I told you so" that I could post down the road.
But claiming fact on any Camaro drivetrain at this point is laughable.
When you have to eat these words, my salt shaker will be ready.

At your request.........LOCKED
