I don't know what I've getting at but I'm sure its something.

And "black boxs" determine if something failed. There isn't excessive wire running through the car to everything just to see if something was changed for aftermarket, that would be absurd and add a bitchload of weight.
not to mention the cost involved! the new camaro isnt like a bugatti veyron that sends your speeds from your last drive to bugatti headquarters so they can see how yuore driving the car.

i think for the Z28 they should make a small stroke LS engine with 5 liters and make it revv freely up to 7000RPM. an LS5.0 would be fun and probably get grreat economy too

What's this bullshit about GM sending you a letter and telling your warranty to **** off? Are you stupid? I highly doubt GM is going to revive their final true "Muscle Car", and then void the warranty when someone puts some Corsa's, and a Vararam (Or Camaro equiv) in place of the airbox. Seriously. That would be one of the STUPIDEST business decisions GM can make if they plan on this car lasting 4+ years. Another thing is that any insurance company is able to read your computer, last top speed, etc. Only hitch with your theory is uh, why would you even allow your insurance agent\warranty guy near your OBDII plug? if my insurance guy asked that, I'd demand to know why, and promptly tell him no. If they did it at GM, I'd ask why they're checking it considering the computer isn't the problem.

2x

They really don't have the right to check the computer of something you own. That would be like sending in your PC for repair (with a password) and having the tech check it, crack the password, and calling the FBI for having pirated music or something.

^^Illegal if you didn't catch that.
