I don't think anyone really knows.
Some say "no way", some say "maybe".

Bob Lutz has said no firebird because Pontiac is going to be a domestic BMW.
He also said GM isn't badge engineering cars anymore. However, look at the Outlook/acadia/traverse and the Aveo/G3. Sounds like badge engineering to me.
He has also stated that GM's annual sales goal for the Camaro is 100k units.
Dunno how that is going to happen.

I also read something a few months ago (maybe autoextremist?) where there IS a faction inside pontiac that wants to do a firebird but upper management won't let it happen.

Post this same question on cz28 and all of the LT1 driving firebird haters will point out your ignorance of business . . .

GM is full of fail. There won't be a 2010 TA because Pontiac will be out of business.

I can predict the future and whats gonna happen is: In 2 or 3 years when the Camaros big dog comes out (LS9), then Pontiac will release a "Trans Am" Edition G8 . FYI

The Goat will be back, only larger on idk what chassis (cts?), will be more in the mold of a Charger (size-wise).

With a G8 coupe in the "on deck circle" there wont me a market for a firebird. I would think that we are more likely to see a buick (grand national anyone?) on the Zeta platform.
