Default The Z28 Is Dead!! Sticky Please

There is a reason car magazines, writers, and enthusiasts are in business, they do have reliable information. Also if anyone reads the paper you would have read that GM was dumping the Z28 and going with a LS LT SS lineup. But GM didnt say and its not reliable source blah blah blah.... I guess piston slap doesnt exist either because GM said so right!?!

NO BURNS INTENDED.

Well ill let you chew on this for the next 5 to 10 years. There might be a Z28 supercharged version....But then again you might as well buy a damn Z06 or ZR1.

I'll bookmark this next near when the SC Z28 bows just to confirm your retardation.
Maybe they'll call it an ss/sc like they did with the cobalt, but it seems like common sense that they will go with the familiar name.

Besides, most of us "knew" it wasn't coming the first year, since there have been no sightings/ramblings of it coming, so why even make this thread? I promise they won't sit by and let all of the potential buyers keep picking up the GT500s for 45k

If there isn't an LSA Camaro than the GT500 will continue to rein supreme above all it's new competitors on the street and the track.

I don't think GM will let it go unanswered.

Most of us knew the Z28 wouldn't be offered the first year anyway. I read that article as what to expect for the first year of production, I see no reason to believe the Z28 is dead for good. I still expect the Z28 in 2011, and if not, Magnuson will be more than happy to supercharge my LS3 for me!

the stang was kina cool while it was new, but after that I wasn't too impressed.

300hp just doesn't do much for ya, but it sounds pretty good with LT headers and !cats.

it was tuned, but poorly. we actually did a TKO600 conversion in anticipation of a blower... but thats another story. damn thing never ran quite right.

This part is funny in a sad sort of way:

Lastly, I read your first car was a 1986 Trans Am. Is there any scenario that would make it feasible, at this point or any point in the next three years, for GM to revive the Camaro's sister car, the Pontiac Firebird?

CP: "There is not work currently going on at Pontiac on a new Firebird. The G8 is kind of their car for that."

To compare a 4100 pound 4 door sedan to a Trans Am is almost grounds for a beat down.

considering the GXP has the same motor as the camaro and weighs 4100lbs, its not all that much different. still sux though.

top end model's are generally never released first year of production. this section is for discussing relevant topics related to the 2010 camaro. you are more then welcome to post doomsday threads over at SSU. thanks. autorags need to sell more copies to stay in business, thats why if they post an issue with CAMARO IS DEAD IN 2 MONTHS, or Z28 NEVER AGAIN!!, people will buy it up and paste it all over the interwebs claiming facts. so lets sit back, calm down and actually be happy that they are building a new camaro. have a great day.
