In the vette's, what kind of power are people seeing with bolt on's like longtube's and full exhuasts, and do the ls3's need a lid like the ls1's did to eliminate the baffle's?

They will generally dyno 380 on the low end and 395 on the high end stock. With bolt-ons and a tune they will see 430-440. Cam only they have seen 500rwhp.

thats nice. maybe ill "settle" for an ls3 instead of waiting for a killer edition.

This built one almost hit 600hp N/A on stock cubes.

some interesting points on the LS3.

09+ Gets an oil cooler with an extra 2 qt capacity

stronger and lighter than the ls1

stronger rod bolts

patented oil-air seperator for PCV system

Power 422 hp@5900 rpm Torque 408-lbs/ft@4500 rpm


looks like they have different peak hp RPM stats than what GM put on the camaro spec sheet also.

Glad they went back to the old way (LS6) of making the intakes. They're stronger.

A few of the "locals" like to rag on my car's torque figures in my signature since it is a small displcement/big turbo car on pump gas; even when their traps are some 20mph less in the qtr.
