[VR] 2016 Camaro SS A8 - Vengeance Stage 4 Naturally Aspirated Package makes 500rwhp! The legendary Camaro SS has been a large part of our business here at Vengeance Racing since the beginning with the 4th generation and 5th generation platforms. Since the first photos were released of the new 6th generation car, we have been a huge fan of Chevrolet's upgrade to the performance and styling, and were finally able to get our hands on one for some serious modifications to the LT1 engine! This particular car came to us from middle Tennessee after the customer skipped over a BMW M3 to have his chance at modifying a new SS. This customer wanted to start with a solid naturally aspirated combination that would not only perform and sound well, but also maintain excellent driveability and reliability as it is his daily driver.
For this, we looked to our already tried and true performance packages from the C7 Corvettes to put together a Stage IV N/A combination for this car. This package includes our fully CNC ported LT1 cylinder heads, our Stage II custom camshaft to work in conjunction with the OEM torque converter, removing the inherently weak DOD/AFM system, and upgrades the full valve train including lifters/trunions/timing chain/VVT limiter & hardened pushrods for ultimate reliability for either street driving or track use. Incoming air is delivered VIA a Cold Air Inductions CAI and Exhaust flows thru an American Racing stainless long tube header system.
Our technician was able to complete this job, as well as have time for street and dyno tuning in less than a week time frame, and the customer was driving home back to Tennessee with a large smile on his face. The car's final output came to 501rwhp and 470rwtq on 93 octane pump gas! The car drives extremely well with crisp and firm shifts with our tuning on the 8-speed transmission, and keeps the daily driven reliability that our customer was shooting for.
