New Camaro Makes Track Performance Accessible
By Pouria

Camaro sales have not been showing the best figures in recent years. But Chevy is planning to take on the competition, and win.

Default answer is simple

there is one fast way to increase sales....drop the price!!!!! the price of these things has gotten out of hand...im sure a maxed out SS is toppling 50k. I bought a ws6 car in 03 with 2500 miles on it for 26k... find me a loaded ss Camaro for with low milage for that price. if im going to be spending 50 on a Camaro I will just buy a corvette... I mean why not

a brand new fully equipped SS was 32k back in 2002. 16yrs later you pay 18k more for a car that is night and day better overall. Then you factor inflation and the price lines up about right. That being said I paid 32k for my 2016 1SS with 900miles last year. I have seen 2SS cars with under 5k miles selling for under 35k this year.

more than happy to figure in inflation if my check did as well lol. Even with that it’s hard for me to believe that these cars are worth the additional 18, I mean you can’t even see out of them haha. I get what you are saying but if I’m paying anywhere close to the price of a vette, I’ll buy a vette... But hard to believe the ss is that much more than the than a base model though

Your not paying close to a Vette...

The visibility is way over exaggerated.

Many folks have been able to get 8k off of new a 2SS and same with Vettes. You can get a Z51 2LT Vette M7 for 62k and or a fully optioned 2SS for 42k. 1SS have been had for 32-35k, 1LT Stingrays are around 52- 55k. Either way you are paying 17-20k more for a similar optioned Vette.
