You'll need to look up the part number of the tuner you have and see if it works. I looked one up and it shows that it will work for both models but you have to pay for the extra Licenses for additional vehicles.

I would likely just fine a good tuner who uses HPT programmers and go from there. This isn't 2007 where people are like, "find a good tuner and use whatever programmer they recommend." F all that. HPT is traditionally a GM thing that even other brands are adopting as the go to programmers. I now drive a GEN3 Coyote truck, and there is no way I'd use an SCT or Diablosport programmer on it. They are just not capable of programming everything a HPT can, especially when it comes to the transmission. You could tell my Lund wants to tune my truck with a SCT and I'd be like, "no." SCT might be good enough for GEN1/GEN2 Coyote, but not GEN3. Same with your Camaro. GEN3 LS based engines aren't the same as GEN5 LT based engines. IDK, but on these newer vehicles HPT is the only programmers I consider. Who does tuners like Vengeance, RPM, Pray Performance, etc tune with? When I was driving a GEN6 Camaro HOT was the only programmers I remember being recommended.
