Default Ls7??

Hello everybody, I am looking at buying a 98+ Camaro for a second car, LS4 07 Monte Carlo is my DD, and wanted to know if I could slot an LS7 crate engine in there so it would have the performance of a new Z06.

Just wondering if the engine would fit, I know they fit in G8's so I am thinking it would fit in an F-Body...Thanks guys

EDIT: Sorry when I first searched the forum I didn't see anything about a swap for an LS7. Now I found an old thread about it...Thanks Anyway...

external dimensions are the same as far as i know. only major issue is the dry sump oiling system. i think its in the way. although some creative fabrication can probably cure that.

but honestly...a built ls2 block would be much cheaper and easier to build and put in the car. and you can make more power than the 505hp LS7.

there are guys getting a reliable 500RWHP out of 382ci ls1 engines, and 520-550rwhp out of stroked ls2 engines.

that's nearly 600hp at the crank...
