Camaro is an "Old Man" car?? WTF?

Are some 20-30 YOA posters saying they don't want a sports or muscle car when they are 40 or 50?? That would be quite sad! I believe that once you are hooked on muscle or sports cars you are likely to own one for life. None of this mid-life crisis stuff. You are just an enthusiast at any age. Now if you have 5 kids and a lousy wife, yeah, you might not be able to own one until the divorce is finalized.
no offense to the debt ridden husbands and wives driving fbodies, good on you

In my teen years, early 70's GM cars were the ticket to affordable performance.
You young guys now are lucky LS1's are so cheap. The combination of performance, driveability, longevity and economy that LS1's offer was unimagineable 25 years ago.
Camaro's are driven by guys that are smart enough to know where to find affordable performance - both young and old.

I caught the bug a little late maybe, bought my first f-body last year at 30. I hope I can still drive these cars when I'm 90. I can't ever see myself outgrowing an f-body.

I'm 25 years young. I have owned my IROC-Z (still have it) since I was 19 years old. Bought my 98 LS1 when I was 24 (still have it) My brother is now 28 and has had his 69 Camaro Convert since he was 16.

oh, and I will still have these cars when I'm 90, so they are both young and old mans cars, but mostly people who are 40 and younger have them, unless of course they are the 67-69.

I'm 25 and own an 02 t/a, I don't think I've ever seen a 50+ person in a camaro or a t/a. The only thing I ever see those guys in nowadays are the corvettes. Cause they are so flippin expensive and they are the only people who can afford one

dam it wa s woman based car. So technically women are suppouse to like camaros well i try showing off and getting some but out of the 50+ trys the score is 2out of 50 i regret both of them but good times are always good times. It just makes it more interesting having a smaller inclined space to work with

Well, I'm 55 and it still gives me thrill to drive my SS. For me, it's just as fun as it was in 1969 when I had my SS 396 Camaro. I dunno, I just can't seem to give up fast cars. I hope u young guys are still enthusiastic about performance when u are my age. I've had a vette and that was fun too, but I really like the F-Bodies!! Although I must admit I wonder if I look stupid to others when driving it. My son has an F1A Procharged 1996 WS6, so I guess some of my passion rubbed off on him. But I see many more young guys driving them for sure.

I believe more "younger" people are into Camaros now.
I think the Vettes, are mainly driven by AARP members.
Since production of Camaros and Firebirds stopped in 2002, they are now "vintage", which makes them desirable to younger people.
just my opinion and observations.

I sold my 99 frc vette for what I have now and I'm 45. Now I'm thinking about selling the WS6 to get back into another vette. I have a hard time keeping any car for longer then 3 years for some reason.
