Default Can you clean out a good intake

can a good intake (LS6 full of piston metal) be cleaned. Burnt 3 pistons and bent rods. intake looks to be fine, but got some metal in it. any advice would help.

Without any problem.

Just flush it out with a hose and dry it out with compressed air.

so best way would just use air and make sure clean? just wanted to see if that would be good enough.

Yeah, but I recommend the use of water first and using air to dry.

Water has a higher density than air, meaning it will have more "weight" to pick up and drag away any pieces that may "stick" to the surface of the plastic.

Air to finish up and get rid of the moisture. Not that any moisture will hurt the plastic, you just don't want any "puddles" in there when you reassemble.

Thanks alot. just wanted to make sure. car blew up on 150 shot. it had 2 years of spray on motor.

Yea, spray it out with some water first, preferably under some decent pressure, then use some Air to dry it.
