Default F*cking car won't start.

I got the car back from getting the tranny build, and put new exhaust on, and now the mother ****** won't start. I sprayed a can of starting fluid in, reset the computer, cranked and cranked and cranked the thing and it just cranks and cranks. I get a hit every once in a while but not enough to bring it to life. It is like 5 degres outside. Could the temp cause this?

We have 3 cars and the only one that started the other day was my TA on the 3rd crank! lol the other two are a 02 Saturn SC2 and a 01 Taurus they just wouldn't start...

Cold really make for harder starts...it was like -28 with windchill

If its gonna be cold for a while get some fuel system cleaner dump it in the fuel...also take a heater and face it under your car and after a while try it again!

When its cold higher octane fuel works better...just dont buy cheap gas some stations mix with water and such (hence the gelling and freezing fuel lines)...I use 91 octane fuel year around from Westco and havent had any problems.

I use only 91 or 93. I pushed it into the garage, closed the door. Put in a heater for a few hours, put in a bottle of heet. It still wouldn't start. I checked a random plug, it is sparking. I do have fuel pressure, and the fuel looks good, not gummy or frozen. I also sprayed in lots of starting fluid. I still have no luck.

I always give a little gas, And I have been feathering the throttle. I have to give some to get it to start normally. I have went to the floor a few times though.

hmmmmm. did you cycle the key a few times befor you tried to start it? You shouldn't have to give it gas to start but if you want to try hold the peddal to the floor! It's not carburated. lol

If it doesn't start in 3 or 4 cranks then stop and cycle the key again.

If you have spark, fuel getting to the cylinders, and have had it in the garage with the heater i dont know what to tell you bro.

Hope you get it figured out!!!

Hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank it to get any gas out of the cylinders.

The computer goes into a "clear flood" mode when flooring the gas and cranking, it doesn't pulse the injectors.

I see that you are saying that the car is turning over and over, but with it being cold out the output of teh battery drop a lot. You may want to see if the battery has enough juice to get it start. Somewhere in the ball park of 12.4+ would be a start.

I had wondered of a problem like that....I will probably pull it and have it tested. dI had it hooked to another car with jumper cables, so it has went dead and I have had to recharge multiple times.

Well, today I pulled out the drivers side spark plugs, and the first two PS. And checked them for spark, they all had spark, and looked good. I just put in new NGK-TR55's about 2K miles ago. I sprayed some carb cleaner on them for ***** and grins. I also went and got 3 fresh gallons of 91 Octane gas and she started on the first crank???

I'm thinking maybe Some of the cylinders flooded when I tried starting it in the cold, and when I took the plugs out they got a chance to air out?? But I dono?
