Newbee hey hows it going i literally just joined this site and i had a question for u ls1techs im planning on buying a 1996 WS6 T/A but my friend that selling it to me is telling me the opti-spark is bad is this hard to change and is there any way i can by pass it with an msd system?

I'll answer anyway.
MSD sucks *****. Go on ebay and see if you can find a new OEM for a deal. Make sure the water pump is OK too cause a lot of opti probs are caused by the WP leaking on the Opti.

the msd opti isnt all that great. just get an OEM one and make sure you seal it properly yourself. my hate for optispark has driven me to never buy another LT1 ever again. (unless it is for a STEAL of a price)
