I have an A4 with a 3200 stall and 232/ 234 cam. And i have 3.73 gears and there busted (such as when i drive they roar and it sounds like the tires rub the ground at different times just driving on the highway) And at 70 mph i cant even here my music the roar is so loud. So would the bad gears cause me to lose gas mileage/ horsepower?
I know the cam and stall cause alot of lose of gas mileage but im just wondering if the bad gears are contributing?
BTW im getting a new set of gears after Christmas to replace the crap ones that are in there now.

yeah the gears will change your mileage all the way across the board. i think going back to like a 3.23 would help by maybe a couple MPG and you would be losing some performance so its really about exactly what you want
