I'm thinking of getting a 383 shortblock from Texas Speed and using all the parts off of my present engine, then selling the old shortblock. It's a perfectly good engine and pulls 40PSI oil pressure hot at idle. It would have no covers or oil pan obviously, but if someone just needed a cheap replacement for an engine they blew up, it'd be great. I was thinking somewhere in the $500-600 range. Reasonable?

if you looking to sell just a shortblock i'd say $700. Longblocks go for $1500+ or so. Unless you find a good deal somewhere. I'm thinking of doing a 408 for my Vette and will likely be selling mine as well only a long block with Z06 heads and 228R cam
